WHO WE ARE
The Westlock & District Palliative Care Society is a registered charitable organization which is comprised solely of volunteers. The mission of the society to provide quality end-of-life comfort and support to the terminally ill and their families. In addition, volunteers can also offer respite to caregivers.
We provide assistance to anyone in Westlock and the surrounding area who is in the last stages of an illness that cannot be cured. Through both personal experience and professional training, volunteers are able to offer support and practical information to their families and those in their care. Including care giver guides upon request.
Volunteers of the Westlock & District Palliative Care Society are happy to provide service in the home, in the Lodge or self-contained housing, in the Westlock Health care center or in the continuing Care Center. It is believed that wherever the patient feels most comfortable is the best place in which to receive support.
The services provided by the Westlock & District Palliative Care Society are completely free; however, donations are gratefully accepted.
